Come learn the beautiful art of lettering in this introductory class! You'll learn HOW to make letters, not just copy them, and you'll go home ready to practice with confidence! Workshop is suitable for beginners, or for those who have basic experience.

You'll learn:
-upstrokes and downstrokes
-pressure of letters using markers
-the differences between different types of brush markers + how to use them
-strokes of the lowercase alphabet
-strokes of the uppercase alphabet
-letters to words
-color blending + color techniques
-tips and tricks to help you as a beginner

Your ticket includes your starter kit with 3 markers, pencil, art eraser and workbook. You may add a pad of paper at checkout (optional!)

Age: Students 15 and over may attend on their own; under 15 only please with a purchased adult ticket (ie Aunt Gail brings Amanda and both take the class) Classes geared towards students are run 2x a year as well.

Your instructor:
Carrie Lutke of Sparrow Lettering has been teaching for her whole career, and started Sparrow Lettering in 2016. In 2017, she taught her first calligraphy workshop and hasn't stopped since! She looks forward to guiding you to an understanding of how callligraphy works!
